The Poverty Advisory Committee (PAC)

One out of five children in our community is growing up in a family suffering from poverty. The PAC spearheads the CCFC's important work in alleviating poverty and its root causes. The PAC's volunteer board is made up of low-income people, social service professionals and advocates.

We develop policy, advocate for low-income people and oversee Multnomah County's Community Action Agency (aimed at helping people help themselves.)

Our projects include Oregonhelps.org, a web site that helps people find out what benefits and assistance they're eligible for, the Poverty Elimination Framework, and the Dispelling Myths of Poverty Campaign.
