In 1999, the Oregon Legislature, directed all state agencies that provide services to children and families to:

  1. Increase efficiency and effectiveness by developing a collaborative partnership among themselves;
  2. Set guidelines for planning, coordination and delivery of services to children and families; and (i.e. the Comprehensive Community Plan);
  3. Engage citizens in local decision-making to support the well-being of children and families.

Partners for Children and Families (PCF) is the ongoing collaboration that grew out of that mandate.

Policy & Planning

Our main job at the CCFC is to bring together people and organizations to develop policies and plans for deploying our community's resources. Our goal is to build systems that efficiently and effectively deliver the services and supports our children and families need to thrive. Our current efforts include:
