1999, the Oregon Legislature, directed all state agencies
that provide services to children and families to:
- Increase efficiency and effectiveness by developing
a collaborative partnership among themselves;
- Set guidelines for planning, coordination and delivery
of services to children and families; and (i.e. the
Comprehensive Community
Plan);
- Engage citizens in local decision-making to support
the well-being of children and families.
Partners
for Children and Families (PCF) is the ongoing collaboration
that grew out of that mandate.
