Question #1: Please share with us some of the issues that are important to you or young people you know. Share any community service or advocacy you have done around these issues.  
Question #2: Why do you want to be a member of the Youth Commission? Please describe any communities you represent or could help engage in the work of the MYC. 
Question #3: Commissioners are required to commit at least 15 hours per month (7 hours for at-large members), including attending meetings in Portland & East County (Gresham) on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of every month from 4:30-7:30pm. Members are only allowed to miss 3 MYC meetings in a 6-month period. Describe other school or community activities you are involved in and how you would deal with any conflicts with your MYC commitment?

If you are unable to attend either of these times, or you miss your interview a make-up interview is scheduled for Thursday, May 21st, 2009 4:00-6:00pm 421 SW Oak St, Portland
You will know by May 29th if you are selected to serve as a Youth Commissioner or Youth Media Producer for the 2009-10 term. For all applicants selected to serve, a celebration is planned for June 14th, 2009 at Portland City Hall. Mark your calendar, in case you are selected.
